In 2009 McMaster University Library introduced a new concept to service delivery. Research Help, Access Services and Information Technology Help are being brought together into a single service point.

Thode and Innis Libraries have already launched this new integrated service. In 2009/10 Mills Memorial Library will follow. Blended Services staff training will consist of three components:

  1. In-class instruction & homework
  2. Shadowing research help staff on the Mills Research Help desk
  3. Mentorship programme

Employees will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in the following skill areas:
